Your Story begins here.

Day 1 - May 12th - Arrival - Nairobi

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met off the aircraft and assisted through customs and immigration formalities and on to the arrivals hall to meet with our representative. You will be transferred to Fairmont The Norfolk and accommodation will be in deluxe verandah rooms for 1 night including dinner inclusive water and soft drinks.

Day 2 - May 13th - Nairobi - Nairobi National Park

Following breakfast, we will meet at the hotel lobby and depart for our morning game drive in the Nairobi National Park, followed by a hot lunch at The Talisman Restaurant before returning to the hotel where you will have a safari briefing and rest of the afternoon will be at leisure.

Nairobi National Park is the only park in the world right next to a capital city offering a real wild safari with lions, rhinos, giraffes and zebras roaming against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers.

Day 3 - May 14th – Nairobi - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, we will be transferred to Wilson Airport for our scheduled flight to Amboseli departing at 07:30am arriving at 08:05am. On arrival, we will proceed to the lodge with game drive enroute.

Amboseli National Park is located at the foot of Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. The snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro rises above a saucer of clouds and dominates every aspect of Amboseli. Amboseli National Park covers only 150 square miles but despite its small size, its fragile ecosystem supports a wide range of mammals and birdlife. Amboseli is popular with birders and Elephant watchers. Over 400 species including at least 40 raptors have been recorded. Notable species include the Lesser Flamingo, many ducks, darters and heron nest in the wetlands, and birds of prey including a small population of Martial Eagles. Lunch will be at your lodge followed by an afternoon game viewing drive. Later as the sun sets, you will be transferred back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 - May 15th - Amboseli National Park

This morning, enjoy a game drive. On a clear morning you could see a spectacular view of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa at some 19,341 feet. The park affords you the best opportunity to get close to the mighty elephant. You might also spot Cape buffalo, zebra, wild dog, and others. During the heat of the day, relax at your lodge. You will have a game viewing drive in the afternoon. All meals and overnight at the camp.

Day 5 - May 16th – Amboseli - Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Following your check out, proceed to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Maasai Mara, departing at 09:45am arriving 10:45am. On arrival in Maasai Mara, your S. M Expedition safari guides will meet and transfer you for a morning game drive and later, proceed to the hotel for check-in.
